About Jonathon

Jonathon was born and raised in Northeast Wisconsin, and has resided in De Pere for the past 15+ years. He earned a bachelor's degree in English and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2012, and worked in the retail industry to pay his way through college. He went on to earn a master’s degree from Marquette University in 2016.

He has served on the De Pere City Council representing District 2 (southeast De Pere) since April 2017. Jonathon also serves on the Board of Public Works, Plan Commission, and chairs the Historic Preservation Commission.

Throughout his professional career, Jonathon has sought to help people and improve his community. He has extensive experience in the financial services industry, and currently works as a banker at a local credit union where he assists his clients to become more financially secure. He also regularly presents on financial education to groups in the community.

Ald. Hansen also volunteers on Definitely De Pere’s Design and Public Arts Committee, and is a member of the De Pere Historical Society and the Wisconsin Historical Society.
